Congratulations to William Floyd High School seniors Danielle Neff and Anastasia Rooney for being selected as Career and Technical Education (CTE) students of the month for November.

Mastic Beach, NY - December 15th, 2014 - Congratulations to William Floyd High School seniors Danielle Neff and Anastasia Rooney for being selected as Career and Technical Education (CTE) students of the month for November.

Danielle is enrolled in the Business Academy and has taken courses concentrating in accounting and entrepreneurship. She is working toward earning a CTE Endorsement in accounting, which will give her a special designation on her diploma. Danielle, also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, is described by her business teachers as a conscientious and disciplined student. She plans to continue her studies in college, majoring in marketing and minoring in accounting.

Anastasia is enrolled in the Cosmetology Academy and is preparing for her State Board exams upon graduation. Her teacher, Ms. Wendy Joyce, nominated Anastasia, stating that “she has an amazing work ethic.” Anastasia plans to major in marketing/communications in college and would like to eventually pursue a career in special effects and prosthetics make-up.

In addition to the Business and Cosmetology academies, William Floyd offers four additional CTE academy programs in Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Culinary Arts and Medical Assisting.
