Crime Update: Elmont Robbers on the Loose, Valley Stream Bank Robbery

Elmont Robbers on the Loose
Nassau County Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday night in Elmont. Detectives say the 55-year-old victim was walking on Greenway Boulevard when two males exited a white car to rob him.
 
The first robber was described as a 5’11” black male. He had an average build, black hooded sweatshirt and flashed his gun at the victim. The second was said to be a 5’11” Hispanic  man with an average build and also wore a black hooded sweatshirt. He stole the victim’s cell phone, handbag and wallet. After the victim’s belongings were taken he was hit in the forehead with the gun after being told to kneel.
 
The two robbers were then picked up by the white car they arrived in. Its said to have fled heading west on Cromer Avenue. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment by a Nassau County Police Ambulance. 
 
Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
 
Valley Stream Bank Robbery
The Nassau County Police Department’s Robbery Squad is investigating a Bank Robbery in Valley Stream which occurred on Friday afternoon at 1:05 p.m.
 
The suspect was described as a 6’ tall black male in his thirties. He was said to have scruffy facial hair and wore a pea coat and dark hooded shirt. The robber demanded cash through a note and the teller complied. An undetermined amount of cash was handed to him.
 
The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot northbound on North Central Avenue then eastbound on Milford Street. Of the eight employees and one customer in the Capital One Bank, none were injured.
