Suffolk Police Seeking to Identify Deceased Man Discovered in Vacant Wyandanch Building

Wyandanch, NY - December 14, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are asking the public to help identify a man, who was found deceased inside a vacant building in Wyandanch, New York last month.
 
A man notified the Suffolk County Police Department that he discovered a Hispanic man deceased inside a vacant building located at 1575 Straight Path, on November 30, at approximately 11:45 p.m.  His death is believed to be non-criminal.
 
The unidentified man is described as a white Hispanic, approximately 40 to 55-years-old, 5 feet five inches tall, thin, with dark brown and gray hair. He had a full beard and was wearing a black baseball cap, white hooded sweatshirt and gray camouflage pants. 
 
The body was transported to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Detectives believe the victim was homeless, possibly named Luis, and frequented the area near Straight Path and Long Island Avenue, Wyandanch.
