UPDATE - 16-Year-Old Boy Shot in the Head, Police Searching for Two Male Suspects

Update - January 18, 2017 - Homicide Squad detectives report the arrest of Jeustin David Maldonado, 17, of Uniondale for his involvement in connection with the incident.

He is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd Degree, Conspiracy 2nd Degree and Criminal Facilitation 2nd Degree.

He is also charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th Degree and Menacing 3rd Degree from a prior domestic incident with his brother that occurred on Saturday, January 7, 2017. Maldonado will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 1/18/2017.

The investigation regarding the Uniondale shooting continues.

Update - December 16, 2016 - Homicide Squad reports the above victim, Alexon Moya, 16, of Uniondale succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced at 7:00pm on December 16, 2016 by a staff physician at Nassau University Medical Center.  The investigation is ongoing.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.

Uniondale, NY - December 14, 2016 - The First Squad reports the details of an Assault which occurred on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:27 p.m. in Uniondale.

According to detectives, a male Hispanic, 16 years of age, was shot in the head while standing on Fenimore Avenue.  Two suspects, described as male Hispanic, fled the scene on bicycles in an unknown direction.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
