Six Women Arrested in Massage Parlor Investigation

Copiague / North Lindenhurst / North Babylon, NY - December 13, 2016 - Suffolk County Police have arrested six women during multiple massage parlor raids conducted in the First Precinct over the last two days.

Due to community complaints in the area, Suffolk County Police First Precinct Crime Section officers, Homeland Security and the Town of Babylon Task Force conducted a two-day investigation into the illegal activities at several massage parlors throughout Copiague, North Lindenhurst and North Babylon. The locations are Apple Tree Spa, located at 1265 C Montauk Highway, Copiague, Serenity Day Spa, located at 748 Wellwood Ave., North Lindenhurst, and Health Spa, located at 761 Deer Park Ave., North Babylon. Two of these locations are close to schools in the area.

The following women were charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession, Class E Felony, NYS Education Law:

Zhou Li, 47, of Flushing
Qun Wang, 38, of Flushing
Fang Li, 44, of Flushing
Zhang Qian, 53, of Flushing
Xin Xian Yang, 47, of Flushing  
Jin Jin Li, 37, of Flushing

The Town of Babylon Task Force condemned each location and issued numerous summonses for multiple violations, to the tenants and the landlords of the respective locations. The investigation is continuing.

The defendants were given desk appearance tickets and will be arraigned at a later date.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
