The Tap Room has opened its fourth location in Rockville Centre, moving into the site where Arooga once was, according to an article on local news site GreaterLongIsland.com.

A casual neighborhood bar and restaurant, The Tap Room offers a full menu of craft burgers, beers, and sandwiches. The first Tap Room opened in Patchogue in 2011, founded by James Bonanno and David Johnson who were both bartenders at the seasonal Tiki Bar, also in Patchogue. Massapequa and Bay Shore locations soon followed.

On Yelp, Brian G, of Rockville Centre, loved the menu and the craft beers.

“They have a nice beer selection of both staples and some more unusual things,” he wrote. “I got a great Wit from Peconic County Brewing and wasn't disappointed. We ordered the mac and cheese balls (very good) and I got the Whiskey Burger. It was very very good. The sauce actually tasted smoky. Usually when I get a whiskey barbecue sauce it just tastes like barbecue sauce, but this was extra good. And the price was reasonable as well. They advertise Trivia on Wednesdays and I'm definitely looking forward to that. Welcome, I'll be back for sure.”
