Suffolk County SPCA Offers $5,000 Reward For Information In Heinous Animal Cruelty Case

Ronkonkoma, NY - December 13, 2017 - The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for abandoning a severely neglected dog on Peconic Street, Ronkonkoma. Suffolk County SPCA Detectives are investigating this heinous act of animal cruelty.
 
Roy Gross, Chief of the Suffolk County SPCA, said that on December 12, 2017 the agency received a call from a Veterinary Hospital. The young, female pit bull with a distinctive collar was found in a wooded area, severely emaciated and in critical condition. The dog was transported to the Veterinary Hospital The dog had to be humanely euthanized as there was no chance for her survival.    
 
We urge anyone with information to contact the Suffolk County SPCA so that we are able to bring the  individual(s) responsible for this blatant act of animal cruelty to justice.
