The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 4 am EST Tuesday. * Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times. * Timing...into the early morning hours on Tuesday. * Impacts...limited visibilities will make travel very difficult. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving...slow down...use your low beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed. While visibilities will mainly be in the 1 to 3 mile range, there could be localized areas with visibilities down to one quarter mile or less at times. West Sayville, NY - December 13, 2017 - Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone today visited Suffolk County’s newest cooperative project at the West Sayville Greenhouse. County Executive Bellone joined Legislator Kara Hahn and the Suffolk Association for Habilitation and Residential Care (AHRC) to meet the members of AHRC who maintain the greenhouse by growing, tending and selling plants.

The Suffolk Association for Habilitation and Residential Care serves children and adults with developmental disabilities by providing programs, services and opportunities for them to grow and contribute to society in meaningful ways. Currently AHRC serves more than 2,500 individuals across Suffolk County.
