Nassau County To Honor Police Officers For Saving Local Resident In House Fire And Apprehending Armed Robber

Mineola, NY - December 13, 2014 - Nassau County Presiding Officer Norma Gonsalves and Police Commissioner Thomas C. Krumpter will join PBA President James Carver in honoring two brave police officers for their outstanding dedication to the protection of our local community. Together the officers entered a burning home, pulling two occupants from the scene. They were able to revive one individual who recovered fully as a result of their selfless bravery.

Three additional officers will also be recognized for pursing and apprehending an armed robber and recovering all weapons used.

The ''Cop of the Month'' ceremony will take place on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building located at 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, NY. It is being co-sponsored by Nassau County Legislature and the Nassau County P.B.A
