West Babylon man arrested for Aggravated Vehicular Assault, Assault in the Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, Felony DWI and Reckless Driving.

Mark M. Diamond, 33, of West Babylon, is being held at Nassau University Medical Center pending a bedside arraignment.

West Babylon, NY - December 11, 2016 - On 12/10/15 at approximately 11:53 p.m., Mark M. Diamond, 33 years old, of West Babylon, NY, was driving his 2011 Mercedes Benz east on the Southern State Parkway near Exit 20, Grand Ave. Mr. Diamond lost control of the car and struck a tree on the south shoulder of the road.

Mr. Diamond and two passengers, Stacy Ward, 30 years old, of Lindenhurst, NY, and 33-year-old Patrishah Morgan of Hempstead, NY, all suffered broken bones as a result of the crash.

Members of the New York State Police investigated at the scene and at Nassau University Medical Center and subsequently arrested Mr. Diamond for Aggravated Vehicular Assault, Assault in the Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, Felony DWI and Reckless Driving.

Mr. Diamond is being held at Nassau University Medical Center pending a bedside arraignment.
