Elmont, NY - December 12th, 2013 - Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for criminal possession of Marijuana that occurred in Elmont on Wednesday, 12/11/13 at 4:45 P.M.
 
According to detectives, the United Postal Service intercepted a 25 lb. box of Marijuana with a delivery address of 275 Lehrer Ave.  Undercover narcotics detectives, along with the K-9 unit, responded to the residence posing as a UPS driver and delivered the package to the front door.  Defendant David Banks, 47, of 1109 Fairview Blvd., Inglewood, CA, waited for the driver to leave and then retrieved the box from the steps. The defendant was then placed under arrest.
 
Banks is being charged with Criminal Possession Marijuana 1st Degree and will be arraigned on Thursday, 12/12/13 in First District Court, Hempstead.
