Oyster Bay, NY - December 11, 2018 - Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) presented a citation to country music artist and East Norwich resident Kiera Stella during her performance at Café Al Dente in Oyster Bay on Saturday, Nov. 24.
 
Stella, 20, is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who recently became the most-played independent female country artist on Long Island, according to a recent profile in a community newspaper. She is currently enrolled in Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., where she is enrolled in the university’s prestigious songwriting program in the Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business.
 
“After hearing so much about this remarkable young woman, it was a pleasure to meet Kiera and witness her talent firsthand. I hope her example will inspire young people across Long Island to pursue their dreams and cultivate their unique talents and put them to use to make the world a better, happier place,” Legislator Lafazan said.
