Legislator Stephanie Bontempi, Legislator Tom Donnelly, and Legislator Rebecca Sanin attended the Second Precinct’s monthly community meeting on Wednesday evening at the South Huntington Library to honor Inspector Kevin Williams, who is preparing for retirement after an exceptional forty-year career with the Suffolk County Police Department.
Inspector Williams, who grew up in Huntington, took command of the Second Precinct in March of 2023 after previously serving in the department's Marine Bureau. His distinguished career also includes multiple assignments in Huntington at the Second Precinct, where he has held the positions of Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Executive Officer. He is set to officially retire in January.
"Inspector Williams has truly exemplified integrity and commitment throughout his decades of service. His contributions have made a lasting impact on our Huntington community, and we are deeply grateful for his leadership and dedication to public safety. We wish him all the best in his retirement; he will be greatly missed by our residents and the officers at the Second Precinct," stated Legislator Bontempi.
