East Rockaway, NY - December 9th, 2014 - The Public Information Office reports the details of an Aided case that occurred in East Rockaway on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 8:52 pm.

According to police, a Highway Patrol Officer was flagged down by a motorist in the vicinity of 376 Atlantic Avenue and advised that his 19 year old male passenger in his 2007 Dodge had injected himself with Heroin and is now lifeless.

A Fourth Precinct Police Officer responded to assist and was able to administer a dosage of Narcan, reviving the victim. The aided victim was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
