Mount Sinai, NY - December 8, 2015 - Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker urges parents to utilize substance abuse awareness programs that are offered throughout the county.

The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Departments offers the “Test, Don’t Guess” program. The program provides free drug test kits available to parents to assist in monitoring their children who may be using illegal substances. Education and prevention are important first steps in battling the drug epidemic. Home drug test kits can be an important tool to monitor behavior and engage children in critical conversations about drug use.
