Take a Holiday Carriage Ride Around Port Jefferson Village

Written by Lon Cohen  |  10. December 2020

The annual Charles Dickens Festival had to be cancelled in Port Jefferson but that doesn’t mean you can’t experience all of the charm of this harborside village has to offer this holiday season. Visitors can catch a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village on Saturday, December 12 and Saturday, December 19 from 1-4pm.

Passengers will have to reserve a spot by purchasing tickets here. Space is limited. There are 12 time slots available each day in 15 minute increments. The carriage will fit six to seven people. The pickup point is the Harborview Christian Church at 315 East Main Street and the horse and carriage will loop around Main Street and back.

Along with the horse and carriage ride, visitors can visit Santa Claus in Chandler Square for no-touch photo opportunities. You can also take the family to Port Jefferson Village Center for some outdoor ice skating.
