CANCELLED - SCPD Issues Alert for Missing Medford Man Suffering from Dementia, Heart Failure

Medford, NY - December 7, 2017 - Suffolk County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Medford man who suffers Vascular Dementia, and congestive heart failure.
 
Mathew Accardi, 85, was last seen today in his home, located at 103 Kettles Lane, Medford at approximately 10 a.m. Accardi is described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 194 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
 
Accardi was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and tan slip-on shoes. He is known to be operating a brown 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe with a NY Registration Plate number of FJM-3297. Accardi may be in need of medical attention.
 
Detectives are asking anyone with information on Accardi’s location to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8642.
 
As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
