Suffolk SPCA: A Bay Shore Man Arrested For Cruelty To Animals, Resisting Arrest

Suffolk County SPCA charged Vernon Hart III of Bay Shore, 22, with cruelty to animals.

Bay Shore, NY - December 6, 2017 - On December 4th, 2017 Suffolk County SPCA Detectives charged a Bay Shore man with cruelty to animals.
 
Vernon Hart III, 22,  was charged with misdemeanor animal neglect of Remi, his 1 1/2 year old female pit bull, for failure to provide proper sustenance including food, water and veterinary care. The dog who is malnourished and covered with fleas is being treated at a Veterinary Hospital. Hart was also charged with 1 count of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
 
Hart is being held at the 3rd Precinct for arraignment on December 5, 2017.
