Brooklyn Man Caught Running $17,000 Return Scam at Numerous Long Island Home Depot Stores, NCPD Says
Valley Stream, NY - December 6, 2017 - The Robbery Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for Grand Larceny that occurred on Saturday, April 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in Valley Stream.
According to detectives, Guery Roy, 40, fraudulently returned merchandise to multiple Home Depot stores from April 17th until September 13th, 2017, totaling $17,118.00. The locations of the affected Home Depot stores are:
- 600 Hempstead Tpke., Elmont
- 160 E. Sunrise Hwy, Freeport
- 3350 Hempstead Tpke., Levittown
- 86 Jericho Tpke., Jericho
- 1300-1320 Corporate Drive, Westbury
- 111 Jericho Tpke., Syosset
- 101 Green Acres Rd., Valley Stream
The defendant is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
