More than 300 motorcycles filled Brookhaven Town’s Senior Center parking lot in Mount Sinai on November 23 to support the Brookhaven Youth Bureau’s INTERFACE Holiday Toy Drive. The annual “Teddy Bear Run,” organized by the Red Knights Motorcycle Club NY Chapter 26, collects stuffed animals for thousands of children in need. It’s part of the Youth Bureau’s Holiday Toy Drive, administered under the Department of General Services.

“Brookhaven Town is proud to host this event for the Red Knights Motorcycle Club,” said Supervisor Daniel J. Panico. “Their partnership with our Youth Bureau helps make the holidays a little brighter for children who need it most.”

“The enthusiasm the Red Knights Motorcycle Club brings to this event each year truly reflects the spirit of the season,” said First District Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich. “I want to thank the motorcycle club members and the Youth Bureau for the joy they bring to families throughout Brookhaven.”

Registration began at 10:30 a.m. at the Rose Caracappa Senior Center, 739 Route 25A in Mount Sinai. The ride kicked off at 12:00 noon and concluded with a special lunch at Painters’ Restaurant, located at 416 South Country Road in Brookhaven.
