CANCELLED - Suffolk Police Issue Silver Alert for Missing Ronkonkoma Man with Dementia

UPDATE - December 6, 2018 - Police report that Freddy Marcel was located, unharmed, in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Ronkonkoma, NY - December 5, 2018 - Suffolk County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Ronkonkoma man who suffers from dementia.
 
Freddy Marcel, 80, was last seen at 15 Northfield Drive in Ronkonkoma, on December 4 at approximately 8:30 a.m. Marcel is black, 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 200 pounds with brown eyes, gray hair and a mustache. He was wearing dark blue puma jogging pants, a gray sweater, and a navy blue vest. He was driving a 2017 blue Audi A4 with a New York Plate DUB5713.
 
Anyone with information on Marcel’s location is asked to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
 
As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
