Director Steven Brill Talks Adam Sandler, Paul Thomas Anderson & Marc Maron on Tom Needham’s Sounds of Film

Stony Brook, NY - December 5, 2018 - Steven Brill, the director of Adam Sandler’s new Netflix comedy special, and Golden Globe-nominated composer, Rolfe Kent, are Tom Needham’s exclusive guests this Thursday on WUSB’s ‘The Sounds of Film.’
 
‘Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh’ is Adam Sandler’s critically-acclaimed comedy special currently streaming on Netflix.  The show, directed by long-time Sandler collaborator, Steven Brill, features hilarious songs, jokes and stunning camera work shot at multiple venues.  
 
Steven Brill is one of Hollywood’s most exciting directors of comedy.  Through the years, Brill has worked with Adam Sandler on multiple films including ‘Little Nicky,’ ‘Mr. Deeds,’ ‘The Do Over,’ and ‘Sandy Wexler.’ He has also directed the popular movies ‘Heavyweights’ and ‘Without a Paddle.’ As a writer, Steven Brill is responsible for writing the three successful ‘Mighty Ducks’ films. In addition, Steven is an actor who has appeared in countless movies including ‘Sex, Lies and Videotape,’ ‘The Wedding Singer,’ and ‘Knocked Up.’

Also, on the ‘The Sounds of Film’ is legendary composer Rolfe Kent, who recently scored the film ‘Stan & Ollie.’ The biographical film directed by John S. Baird is based on the lives of the comedy act Laurel and Hardy, and stars Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly. Rolfe Kent is well known for his music in ‘Sideways,’ ‘Up in the Air,’ ‘Legally Blonde,’ ‘Mean Girls,’ ‘About Schmidt,’ and ‘Dexter.’
