Mastic Beach, NY - December 5tj, 2014 - The William Floyd School District recently appointed Michelle Romanosky to the position of Director of Business Administration for the William Floyd School District. She previously served as the Senior Accountant and District Treasurer for the William Floyd School District and will report directly to Mr. David Beggins, Assistant Superintendent for Business.

Ms. Romanosky’s responsibilities include providing fiscal oversight to ensure effective resource allocation and compliance with Board of Education policies, co-managing internal and external audit reviews, overseeing the implementation of audit recommendations, federal grant allocations, payroll operations, account payables and receivables, contract services for food and transportation, capital projects, New York State Aid filings, Medicaid compliance and more.

“Michelle’s professionalism, commitment and collaborative style made her the natural choice for this position,” said Mr. Beggins. “Her knowledge and insight are of great benefit to the Business Office and her contributions will be valued for years to come.”

Ms. Romanosky brings nearly 15 years of experience to the position including serving as a school district treasurer, purchasing agent, benefits administrator, assistant business administrator and business administrator for three additional Long Island school districts.

Ms. Romanosky earned her BA from California University of Pennsylvania in Administration and Management; an MBA from Dowling College and her SBA in Educational Leadership from Dowling College. She is a certified New York State School Business Administrator and a member of the New York State Association of Business Officials.
