NCPD Rapid Response Team Nabs Duo for Cocaine Possession in New Cassel

New Cassel, NY - December 5th, 2013 - The Narcotics Vice Bureau reports the details of two Arrests for Criminal Possession of a Control Substance that occurred on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 6:10 PM in New Cassel.

According to detectives, members of the Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) observed several males approach a black 2013 Jeep parked on the corner of Magnolia Avenue and Prospect Avenue and engage in what appeared to be a hand to hand drug transaction. Officers then approached the vehicle and observed assorted US currency and clear knotted pieces of plastic containing a white powered substance believed to be cocaine on the center console of the automobile.   Officers then placed under arrest without incident,  Tyshonn Coleman, 24, of 355 Magnolia Avenue, Westbury (driver)  and Jessica Vincent, 27, of 899 Broadway, New Cassel ( front passenger).  After further investigation officers recovered thirteen glassine envelopes each containing a tan powered substance believed to be heroin and a clear piece of cellophane containing a white powered substance believed to be cocaine.

The defendants are being charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Control Substance 3rd Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Control Substance 5th Degree. Defendant Coleman is also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed 2nd Degree and Unlicensed Operator.  They will be arraigned on December 5, 2013 at First District Court, Hempstead.
