Man Assaulted and Robbed Outside Lake Grove IHOP Resturant, Suffolk Police Report

Lake Grove, NY - December 4, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a robbery in which a man was assaulted in Lake Grove on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
 
The victim was walking from the IHOP restaurant in Lake Grove when he was approached by four Hispanic men at approximately 2:30 p.m. One of the men produced a knife and another demanded money. When the victim stated he did not have money, one of the men punched him in the face. The other men began assaulting the victim. The victim handed the men cash. The suspects also stole packages belonging to the victim.
 
The suspects fled, possibly in a blue Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck.
 
The victim was transported by ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
