SCPD: Teenage Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Commack Motor Vehicle Crash

Commack, NY - December 3, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that seriously injured a teenage pedestrian in Commack on Friday, November 30.
 
George Geevarghese was driving a 2003 Jaguar X-Type southbound on Kings Park Road when he struck a 16-year-old male pedestrian, who may have been crossing the road from east to west, at approximately 7:20 p.m.
 
The pedestrian, a Chinese national attending school in the United States and residing in Commack, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious but stable condition. Geevarghese, 69, of Commack, was not injured.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
 
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
