NCPD Crime Alert: Inwood Man Arrested for Cedarhurt Robbery

Cedarhurst, NY - December 2nd, 2013 - The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an Inwood man for a Burglary that occurred on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 0630 a.m. in Cedarhurst.

According to detectives, the defendant James R. Isom 42 of 255 Lawrence Avenue was observed on video surveillance entering the storage area of Wok Tov Restaurant located at 594 Central Avenue and removing (3) three cases of chafing dish fuel( sterno cans) and two bottles of soda. The defendant was located on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 12:15 a.m. at the Lawrence Railroad Station and placed under arrest. During the investigation it was determined that on June 29, 2013 Isom entered the rear yard of a residence on Forest Avenue, Woodmere and removed two Trek Bicycles. No proceeds were recovered at this time.

The defendant is charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Grand Larceny 4th degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, December 02, 2013 at First District Court in Hempstead.
