Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) had the privilege of joining the Baldwin community recently to light the menorah at the Baldwin LIRR station on the first night of Hanukkah. Rabbi Royi Shaffin of the South Baldwin Jewish Center led the gathering in singing Hanukkah songs.
“As Jewish people around the world come together to celebrate Hanukkah, the traditions of the season are a source of inspiration, optimism and joy for all of us,” Legislator Mulé said. “We are thankful to Rabbi Shaffin and South Baldwin Jewish Center Co-Presidents Jeff Barken and Evelyn Estrine for organizing and hosting a wonderful gathering during such a meaningful time of the year.”
