Police: Man Robbed in Front of Lawrence Residence of Over $380,000 in Jewelry

Lawrence, NY - December 1, 2017 - Fourth Squad detectives are investigating an incident that occurred on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 8:25 pm in Lawrence.
 
According to detectives, the victim, a jeweler by trade, after returning home from visiting numerous jewelry stores in the five boroughs of New York City and walking up to his front door rolling a suitcase containing approximately $380,000 worth of jewelry, had the bag pulled from his hand by two unknown males who then fled west on Marbridge Road towards Meadow Lane. He then observed them entering a minivan that was parked on Meadow Lane. After returning his car to follow the subjects, the victim lost sight of the vehicle.
 
The uninjured 51 year old was unable to further describe the subjects.
