Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre: North Amityville Inaugural Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 3

Amityville, NY - November 28, 2016 - The North Amityville Community Tree Lighting Committee will be hosting their Inaugural Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The office of Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre in partnership with the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville (MANA) and the North Amityville Housing Association (NAHA) is bringing the holiday spirit to the residents of North Amityville

“It is our desire to renew the spirit of North Amityville one project at a time,” said Mary E. Davis, Chairperson of the North Amityville Community Tree Lighting Committee. “We would like to give our residents the opportunity to celebrate the holiday and experience the lighting of a Christmas tree in the hamlet of North Amityville.”

"This will be a great kickoff to the Holiday season,” said Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre. “This tree will symbolize good faith, holiday cheers and joy in the North Amityville community."

“This season of celebration will foster better relationships as we realize the reason for the season,” said Pastor Keith Heyward, President of the Ministerial Alliance of North Amityville.

“This is a beautiful way to start the holiday,” said Rosemarie Dearing, President of the North Amityville Housing Association. “This is just the beginning. We will do this each year and it will grow.”
