After stealing a red Chevy Suburban, a drunk and homeless man then rams it into multiple parked cars in Lindenhurst before overturning the vehicle he was in.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Friday on North Sixth Street, between John and Hoffman Avenues – a residential street.

The driver who caused the late-night chaos the day after Thanksgiving has been identified as Evgen Kovtun, 28.

While multiple cars were damaged in this incident, no one was harmed other than Kovtun who suffered minor injuries. Kovtun was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip for treatment.

Kovtun faces charges of driving while intoxicated and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
