NCPD Announce Arrest of Deer Park Man in Connection with Multiple Business Burglaries

Francis J. Wohnsigl, 58, was observed after a failed burglary attempt and was taken into police custody after a brief struggle, cops say.

NCPD reports the arrest of Francis J. Wohnsigl of Deer Park, 58, for Burglary that occurred on Thursday, November 30.

Deer Park, NY - November 30, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Deer Park man for Burglary that occurred on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 1:45 am.
 
According to Burglary Pattern detectives, defendant Francis J. Wohnsigl, 58, was observed by detectives throwing a piece of concrete at the front glass door attempting to gain entry into Star Kitchen located at 611 Old Country Road in Plainview. After a failed attempt Francis Wohnsigl was then observed walking back to a 2002 Buick parked on the corner of Patton Place and Sherman Avenue at which time detectives placed the defendant Francis Wohnsigl into police custody after a brief struggle. The defendant was transported to a local hospital and treated for injuries.
 
Subsequently it was revealed that the defendant was responsible for several other burglaries that occurred in the past on:
 
  • November 30, 2017 – Tiffany Nails and Spa located at 609 Old Country Road (attempt Burglary)
  • November 23, 2017 – American Cleaners located at 418 South Oyster Bay, Hicksville
  • November 11, 2017 – Sarashiva Indian Clothing located at 144 Broadway, Hicksville.
  • November 11, 2017 - Color Nail Spa located at 140 Broadway, Hicksville.
  • October 21, 2017 – Heavenly Nail and Spa located at 384 Merrick Avenue, East Meadow.
  • October 14, 2017 – Realistic Nails and Spa located at 388 Woodbury Road, Hicksville.
  • October 14, 2017 – Blooming Nails located at 67 Berry Hill Road, Syosset.
  • October 14, 2017 – Goldberg Chiropractic located at 49 Berry Hill Road, Syosset.
  • September 26, 2017 – H2H Nails located at 425 Jerusalem Avenue, Hicksville.
The defendant Francis J. Wohnsigl is being charged with eight counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, two counts Burglary 3rd Degree (Attempt), and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead when medically practical.
