According to an article in GreaterLongIsland.com, Little Mexico, which recently opened in Medford, is not just trying to offer folks Mexican food but a little bit of history as well.

“We’re trying to be as authentic as we can,” owner Luis Garcia told GreaterLongisland.com. “We’re from Mexico City, so we try to bring as much as we can from Mexico. We remember what we had there and bring it here.”

Newsday called the restaurant sprawling, taking up residence in a former Chinese buffet restaurant space, saying “at about 7,400 square feet, it is probably the largest Mexican restaurant on Long Island.”

All the tortillas are handmade for their tacos and served up on the side of their other dishes that are authentically Mexican. Along with the decor that displays figures from Mexico’s past, the owner is known to talk up history.

On Google, Mary D gave it five stars.

“Everything is so fresh and delicious,” she wrote. “The service was great they were very attentive to the things we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Be sure to go with your family they will have a great time and a wonderful meal.”

Carlos DeJesus also raved saying the food was great and the place has a family vibe.

“...full of energy, friendly staff. New local favorite,” he said.
