Pedestrian Killed in Great Neck Vehicular Accident, According to Authorities

Great Neck, NY - November 27, 2018 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 6:21 p.m. in Great Neck.
 
According to detectives, a 77 year old female was attempting to cross from east to west on Lakeville Road, in the crosswalk at Cumberland Avenue, when she was struck by a 2017 Toyota Camry traveling south bound. As a result of the collision the pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician. The 61 year old male driver remained at the scene.
 
A brake test was conducted at the scene and released to the operator.
 
The operator of the 2017 Toyota Camry was not injured.
 
The investigation is ongoing and the victim’s identity is being withheld at this time pending family notification.
