SCPD Crime Alert: Duo Wanted for Grand Larceny in Melville

Melville, NY - November 26th, 2013 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man and a teen who stole merchandise from a Melville store earlier this month.

A man and two female teens entered Kohl’s, located at 834A Walt Whitman Road, and stole clothing, fragrances, jewelry and computers and left the store on November 14 at approximately 8:30 p.m. Once outside, they were confronted by store security and all three fled. One of the suspects, a 17-year-old female, was apprehended and charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree.  The man, whose name may be James, is described as 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, thin and bald. The teen, whose name may be Ashley, is described as 17 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall with brown hair.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
