NCPD: Man Airlifted to Hospital After Serious Car Accident in Wantagh
Wantagh, NY - November 26th, 2013 - The Public Information Office reports the details of a Serious Auto Accident that occurred on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10:40 am in Wantagh.
According to police, a 55 year old male victim was pushing his disabled 2000 Toyota out of his driveway located on Frieda Lane, with his 47 year old wife in the drivers’ seat. The vehicle accidentally engaged into drive trapping the victim underneath the automobile. The victim suffered a fracture to his left leg, internal bleeding and multiple abrasions and contusions. The victim was airlifted by the Nassau County Police Department Aviation Unit to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. There is no apparent criminality.
