East Islip, NY - November 22, 2013 - Legislator Tom Cilmi along with members of the Suffolk County Detachment Marine Corps League met with students of the East Islip Middle School and their advisors at the East Islip Post Office to send packages collected by the students for American troops overseas.

“Through the leadership and patriotism of Mrs. Rena Costello, this is the latest in an ongoing effort to not only provide needed food and supplies to our troops, but to teach our young people about the sacrifices made by the brave men and women of our armed forces and the importance of giving,” said Legislator Cilmi, who offered to pay for this latest shipment.

Packages are sent out weekly. If you want to contribute items or pick up boxes and cover shipping costs (about $14 per box) please contact Rena Costello at 631 275 4958 or rcostell@eischools.org.
