Massapequa, NY - November 24th, 2014 - The Seventh Squad reports the details of an arrest for Robbery that occurred on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 11:32 am in Massapequa.
According to detectives, a 65 year old female victim was putting groceries into her vehicle at 702 Hicksville Road when she was approached by an unknown female subject who grabbed her pocketbook and started to run away. The victim gave chase and after a brief struggle was able to retrieve her handbag. The defendant then fled the scene in a 2012 gray Hyundai Sonata.
The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical assistance. After an investigation detectives arrested defendant Meghan Solomons, 27, of Bardini Drive, Melville, at her home without incident.
The defendant is being charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Monday, November 24, 2014 at First District Court, Hempstead.
