Hauppauge, NY - November 22nd, 2013 - Legislator Kara Hahn this week honored Suffolk County Community College student Dana Mondello for her selection as a New York State Cooperative and Experiential Education Association (NYSCEEA) Student of the Year. Dana received a proclamation in recognition of her accomplishment during the Legislature’s November 19th General Meeting in Hauppauge.

The award Dana received recognizes outstanding achievement in, and contribution to, experiential education.  Awards are given annually to one student from a two-year college and one student from a four-year college or university.

Dana is a Criminal Justice major on the Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College and expects to graduate at the conclusion of the current fall semester.  Her goal is to become a Suffolk County Police Officer.
