Selden Man Accused of Taking Unlawful Pics of Teenaged Girl Arrested AGAIN for Same Crime

Aqeel Ahmad, 53, has been charged with Unlawful Surveillance after he attempted to photograph under the shorts of a 17-year-old female, cops say.

Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for attempting to take photos under the shorts of a teen at a supermarket in September, the second such incident that he has been accused of.
 
Initially, Aqeel Ahmad, 53, had been arrested on Tuesday, October 28, after a 13-year-old girl was in an aisle of the store browsing at greeting cards at a retail store when Ahmad allegedly bent down and used his cell phone to take pictures under her dress. The girl’s father witnessed the incident and approached the man who immediately fled on foot. The father then reported the incident to police.
 
Following an investigation by Sixth Squad detectives, Ahmad, of 111 College Road in Selden, was arrested in his car at the intersection of College Road and Galaxie Lane in Selden at approximately 6:40 p.m. He was charged with Unlawful Surveillance 2nd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child
 
Following a further investigation by Sixth Squad detectives, it was announced today that Ahmad has now also been charged with Unlawful Surveillance 2nd Degree after he attempted to photograph under the shorts of a 17-year-old female at Shoprite in Selden on September 11.
 
Ahmad will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and will be arraigned tomorrow at First District Court in Central Islip.
