NCPD: All Schools Advised to Be Alert of Suspicious Packages / Persons

Nassau County, NY - November 20, 2016 - Nassau County Police Department received notification late on November 20, 2016 from an individual who claims he heard an unidentified male say he "put bombs in every school in Nassau and set them to go off tomorrow".

This information is unconfirmed and seems unrealistic, however all schools are advised to be alert to suspicious packages and/or persons.

Any suspicious packages and/or persons should be reported via 911 immediately.

Nassau County Police are intensifying patrols of all schools within the county.

Immediate threats should be called into 911 and tips can be called into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
