The Social Center’s veterans club began after Executive Director Ann Tarcher placed an ad in a community newspaper and invited World War II and Korean War veterans to gather and share their stories. Over time, the group has grown to include more than 60 men and women.

“The Great Neck Social Club provides valuable services through its Veterans Club and captures the true spirit of National Veterans and Military Families Month through its actions,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “It was a pleasure to join them in celebration of their courageous service and listen to Krista-Marie Noel, a young constituent who made the admirable choice to dedicate herself to military service.”
