22 Year-Old Motorcycle Rider Killed After Collision With Vehicle in Massapequa, NCPD Reports

NCPD are investigating a Fatal Accident involving a motorcycle in Massapequa.

Massapequa, NY - November 20, 2018 - Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a motorcycle that occurred on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in Massapequa.
 
According to detectives, a 22 year old male operating a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling north bound on Broadway at Boston Avenue and was involved in a collision with a 2006 Ford Taurus traveling south bound on Broadway. The operator of the Taurus was attempting to turn left on Boston Avenue. As a result of the collision the motorcyclist was ejected, suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported by Massapequa Fire Department to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by a staff physician.
 
The motorcycle was impounded for a brake test. A brake test was performed on the 2006 Taurus and released to the operator at the scene.
 
The female operator, 66, of the Ford Taurus was not injured.
 
The investigation is ongoing and the name of the victim is being withheld at this time.
