Suffolk County SPCA Detectives Charge Deer Park Man With Animal Cruelty

Deer Park, NY - November 20, 2017 - On November 18th, 2017 Suffolk County SPCA Detectives charged a Deer Park man with cruelty to animals.
 
Marc Henig, 60, of Deer Park, was charged with animal cruelty and neglect, a misdemeanor, after an investigation. The Suffolk County SPCA responded to a complaint that numerous dogs were living in unsanitary and unhealthy conditions, and one dog was lacking adequate veterinary care.  
 
Henig will appear in First District Court in Central Islip on January 31th, 2018.
 
Chief Gross said that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Suffolk County. If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722. All calls will be kept confidential.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
