Garden City, NY - November 20th, 2014 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a serious auto accident involving a pedestrian which occurred on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 7:49 P.M. in Garden City.

According to detectives, a male victim, 33, was crossing Old Country Road from south to north just west of Franklin Avenue when he was struck by a 1996 Volvo traveling eastbound driven by a male, 50 years of age.  The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he is in critical condition.

The vehicle was impounded from the scene for a brake test.  No criminality is suspected at this time.
