Sayville, NY - November 20, 2014 - Suffolk County Legislator Bill Lindsay III participated in Sayville High School’s Pathways to Prosperity Career Day on Tuesday, November 18th. Lindsay III took part in the law and government interest group, alongside Police Officer Nancy Ward, Attorney Patricia Carrol, and Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney Diane Novak. Each professional spoke with Junior and Senior students about the benefits of working in law and government and discussed several ways for students to better prepare themselves to achieve their goals.

In addition to the law and government group, students were placed into several other career-oriented interest groups based on a survey distributed by Sayville High School’s guidance office. These groups consisted of Doctors, Educators, Entrepreneurs, Members of the Sayville Chamber of Commerce, and various other professionals throughout Suffolk County.

“The staff at Sayville High School does a tremendous job in preparing our students for life after graduation,” said Lindsay III. “It was an honor to be able to give my insight and advice to these young people who will continue to positively impact the lives of others as they head off to college and set out on their own career path.
