Please Support Legislator Muratore’s Toy Drive

Written by Long Island News & PR  |  20. November 2013

Selden, NY - November 20, 2013 - Legislator Tom Muratore (R-Ronkonkoma) is partnering with Toys for Tots this holiday season, and has designated his district office in Selden as a donation drop-off center.

Toys for Tots, a 510 (c)(3) created by the U.S. Marine Corp., collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

“This is a season where we should not only be thankful for what we have, but to help those less fortunate,” stated Legislator Muratore. “What provides more joy and holiday spirit than giving a child a new toy?”

“Please support my drive by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy, game, puzzle, or even a piece of sports equipment. This list is not exhaustive; you may donate whatever you wish. The only items Toys for Tots will NOT distribute are toys that resemble real weapons, and those that contain food. I thank you in advance for your generosity, and wish everybody a joyous holiday season,” concluded Muratore.

The drop off location is 325 Middle Country Road, Suite 3 in Selden (intersection of County Road 83 in the Selden Plaza Shopping Center), Monday through Friday from 10:00am-4:00pm. Toys will be accepted now through Thursday, December 12, 2013.
