Police: Three Suspects Snatch Victim's Cell Phone, Fire Gunshot in Air when Chased

Uniondale, NY - November 19, 2018 - The Third Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, November 8,  2018 at 10:50 P.M. in Uniondale.
 
According to detectives, the 21 year old female victim was walking north on Warren Street and was approached by 3 suspects. One of the suspects asked the victim for her cellphone. After the victim refused, the suspect physically removed the cellphone from the victims hand and fled. The victim chased the suspect a short distance where he eventually stopped, displayed a firearm and shot 1 round into the air. The suspect then threw the victims cellphone to the ground. All three suspects then fled on foot, southbound on Warren Street. There were no injuries reported.
 
The suspects are described as follows: 1 male with a gray mask, dark clothing, approximately 5’7’’ tall, a second male wearing a blue mask and dark clothing, he is approximately 6’0” tall. The third suspect is a female black, approximately 20 years of age. She has dark hair that she wore in a bun.
