LIRR Will Be Off-Loading Running Rail for Installation at Later Date.

Hicksville, NY - November 19th, 2014 - Track work on the Long Island Rail Road between Hicksville and Syosset will mean reduced service on Huntington/Port Jefferson Branch overnight on four upcoming weekends – Saturday and Sunday, November 22-23, December 6-7, December 13-14, and December 20-21. Eight trains will be running on adjusted schedules during the overnight Saturday and Sunday between at 12:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.
 
Westbound
• The 2:04 a.m., 6:36 a.m., 7:03 a.m., and 7:36 a.m. trains from Huntington will operate on adjusted schedules without direct connections at Jamaica to Atlantic Terminal, Forest Hills or Kew Gardens. 
• The 7:08 a.m. train from Port Jefferson to Huntington will operate on an adjusted schedule, leaving 23 minutes later than normal. 
• The 8:03 a.m. from Huntington will originate at Hicksville at 8:21 a.m. Huntington, Cold Spring Harbor and Syosset customers can board a train 30 minutes earlier or later for service.
 
Eastbound
• The 5:25 a.m. train from Penn Station normally due in Huntington at 6:30 a.m. will terminate at Hicksville. Customers traveling east of Hicksville should board the 5:51 a.m. train from Penn Station. 
• The 8:36 a.m. train from Huntington to Port Jefferson will operate on an adjusted schedule, leaving 14 minutes later than normal.
