Riverhead Gas Station Robbery
The Suffolk County Police Department is currently investigating two separate gas station robberies - the first of which happened in Riverhead. Crime Stoppers and the Town of Riverhead have now gone to the public for help in identifying the east end robbers.

The incident happened on September 13 at 10:30 p.m. That night two black men entered Hess on 870 Old Country Road and flashed a gun at the employee inside. Both men made off with $200 in cash and $100 worth of Newports.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Bay Shore Gas Station Burglary
The other gas station robbery took place in Bay Shore earlier this month on November 5. Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are asking for help in finding the two men who broke into the locked station.

The Sunny Gas located on 1310 5th Ave. was burglarized at around 2 a.m. that morning. Once inside the two men stole the station’s ATM machine. They then lugged the ATM into their escape vehicle and drove away. The car the pair made their getaway in was described as a four-door dark-colored sedan.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the Bay Shore robbery. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls are kept confidential.
